The New Year day for 2072 B.S. falls on the date 14th April 2015. New Year day is a national holiday in Nepal and is celebrated hugely all across the country, mainly in Kathmandu Valley. Bisket Jatra is the most popular festival that is celebrated during new year. INA is planning to celebrate New Year with picnic on 18th April at Centennial park. We Nepalese in Iowa would like to request everyone to join us in a short walk around Grays lake (roughly 2 miles total) and help share about the disaster, awareness and charity. Please wear either Blue or White T-shirt for the event. If possible bring your own flyers (we will have few there) or you can write/pin in your Tshirt – short message about Nepal. We will also be collecting voluntary donations for the victims at the event. Please share it with your friends and colleagues and please do request them to join.

INA has booked Cottonwood Picnic Shelter #6 on July 15th. INA will be organizing summer outdoor picnic with bbq, food and fun. Lets plan to join and enjoy Iowa summer at its best. More details and invitation will be sent out later in the summer.

INA will be hosting the pooja at Iowa Hindu temple this year on July 29th. Like in the past, INA will be preparing prasad and selling food to contribute to the temple. INA looks forward to the active participation from everyone and will be calling out for volunteers later.
